Comprised of singer/guitarist John Vaughn, drummer Ben Lapps and bassist/keyboardist/singer Matthew Alvarado, the trio are further staking their claim within the pop landscape with their new track which is an open invitation to dream of a colorful, vibey summer. In these seemingly endless, colorless days, “Honey In The Summer” is the song everyone needs to keep their spirits soaring.

Euphoric vibes are no chore for PUBLIC who are undeniably the masters of feel-good tracks. Their new song is loaded with summer goodness with a catchy chorus that exudes a chilled-out vibe –“Top down, sunshine. Party of one inside my ride. Solo kinda guy, all I got is 4-wheel drive. Highway, date night, record from 1979. Right turn, green light ‘long as I got my ride or die.” This breezy laid-back love song is guaranteed to put you in a good mood, making it the quintessential summer hit.

YUNGBLUD New Release “Weird”

YUNGBLUD has recently came out with a new single called “Weird!” — an instantly resonant anthem for this strange moment in time. With its candid confessions of fear and anxiety, “Weird!” showcases the singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist’s uncompromising honesty and larger-than-life energy.

“Weird!” is available HERE via Locomotion/ Interscope Recrds. Despite its incredibly relevant chorus, “Weird!” was written prior to the shelter-in-place orders. Built on frenetic beats, shimmering guitar work, and particularly soulful vocals from YUNGBLUD, the track captures a mood of uncertainty that the 22-year-old artist felt his listeners might find relatable.

“I wrote the song about the weirdest time in my life ever imagined,” says YUNGBLUD.

“I felt like the ground beneath me was a maze that was shapeshifting and I felt like I was going to fall down the cracks and, in my opinion, the world feels exactly like that right now. I wanted this song to make everyone feel that everything was going to be alright no matter how weird things get.”

Now at work on his sophomore album, YUNGBLUD recently premiered THE YUNGBLUD SHOW — a series which aired on his YouTube channel. In addition to featuring intimate at-home performances from YUNGBLUD himself, the show featured appearances from friends and collaborators like Travis Barker, Machine Gun Kelly, and 24kGoldn.

In addition, YouTube Originals and YUNGBLUD are set to announce a new weekly series that follows the UK recording artist as he adjusts to a remote lifestyle while creating music and keeping up with his personal life. Born in Yorkshire, England, 22-year-old recording artist YUNGBLUD (Dominic Harrison) is a multi-instrumentalist who first picked up a guitar at age two and began writing his own songs at age 10.

Harrison is known for voicing what he feels are major concerns for his generation, using his music to unite and empower the youth of today. YUNGBLUD shot onto the scene in 2018 with his self-titled EP.

His full-length debut 21st Century Liability followed where he channeled his outrage about the state of the world into confrontational, yet catchy songs that are steeped in both punk fury and pop melodicism.

In 2019 YUNGBLUD released Live In Atlanta and hope for the underrated youth EP which debuted top 10 on the UK Official Albums chart. YUNGBLUD has performed to sold out crowds in over twenty countries and played over one hundred dates since 2018 including Austin City Limits, Life Is Beautiful, Lollapalooza, Reading and Leeds Festivals and Vans Warped Tour.

After alot of trials and tribulations, Big Boy Drum and Donaven were able to drop their partner project RAGER TAPES .

Since working with Drum, I have been able to listen to most of the music on Rager Tapes before it was released and there was one to me that stood out above the rest.

Mayday has the perfect mix of dark trap and high energy. DSM got to hear the song first on an episode of The Philly 60, check it out below!

We got to talk about how the song was created. According to Drum, Mayday only took about 20-30 minutes to record. He wanted to have fun with it but not overthink it.

Play Mayday on all streaming platforms. You can find rest of RAGER TAPES now on sound-cloud.
