YUNGBLUDhas recently came out with a new single called “Weird!” — an instantly resonant anthem for this strange moment in time. With its candid confessions of fear and anxiety, “Weird!” showcases the singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist’s uncompromising honesty and larger-than-life energy.
“Weird!” is available HERE via Locomotion/ Interscope Recrds. Despite its incredibly relevant chorus, “Weird!” was written prior to the shelter-in-place orders. Built on frenetic beats, shimmering guitar work, and particularly soulful vocals from YUNGBLUD, the track captures a mood of uncertainty that the 22-year-old artist felt his listeners might find relatable.
“I wrote the song about the weirdest time in my life ever imagined,” says YUNGBLUD.
“I felt like the ground beneath me was a maze that was shapeshifting and I felt like I was going to fall down the cracks and, in my opinion, the world feels exactly like that right now. I wanted this song to make everyone feel that everything was going to be alright no matter how weird things get.”
Now at work on his sophomore album, YUNGBLUD recently premiered THE YUNGBLUD SHOW — a series which aired on his YouTube channel. In addition to featuring intimate at-home performances from YUNGBLUD himself, the show featured appearances from friends and collaborators like Travis Barker, Machine Gun Kelly, and 24kGoldn.
In addition, YouTube Originals and YUNGBLUD are set to announce a new weekly series that follows the UK recording artist as he adjusts to a remote lifestyle while creating music and keeping up with his personal life. Born in Yorkshire, England, 22-year-old recording artist YUNGBLUD (Dominic Harrison) is a multi-instrumentalist who first picked up a guitar at age two and began writing his own songs at age 10.
Harrison is known for voicing what he feels are major concerns for his generation, using his music to unite and empower the youth of today. YUNGBLUD shot onto the scene in 2018 with his self-titled EP.
His full-length debut 21st Century Liability followed where he channeled his outrage about the state of the world into confrontational, yet catchy songs that are steeped in both punk fury and pop melodicism.
In 2019 YUNGBLUD released Live In Atlanta and hope for the underrated youth EP which debuted top 10 on the UK Official Albums chart. YUNGBLUD has performed to sold out crowds in over twenty countries and played over one hundred dates since 2018 including Austin City Limits, Life Is Beautiful, Lollapalooza, Reading and Leeds Festivals and Vans Warped Tour.
This was the first episode of A Dub for The Dub and it was a success! Although Tae2one5 and Boodah Bands were disqualified, It didn’t stop Devoted_J and Zef Marcelo from absolutely killing it!
Zef heated up the stage with performing some of his new released music! He definitely started the show off to a great start!
Then it was time for Devoted_J. She was breaking everyones hearts with some songs off of her new EP devoted to the healing. She was getting the crowd going with songs like emotionless and crazy. She showed us all that she had what it took to have the next song of the summer!
We opened up the show to a random guest at the end and little did we know that he was going to be the one who took it all home! Biviens came onto the livestream with a powerful fanbase and even more powerful music! He took home the dub making him this weeks winner. Make sure you follow him on his instagram and wish him a congratulations! (tell him that DSM sent you)
This was a great way to start off the show and we would like to thank all of the 172 people who tuned in. You guys made it special and it also made us very excited to continue the show! Make sure you tune in next week, maybe YOU will be the next champion?

Last January, West Philadelphia native Yung Liv dropped his first video “Never Helped Out”, which currently sits at 53k views on Youtube.
Throughout the next nine months, he’d drop three videos that had similar numbers but nothing particularly eye-catching. However, Liv would drop a track alongside YH56ST that would blow up out of nowhere.
“Dead Oppz”, a song he didn’t even like at first, has since hit nearly two-and-a-half million views on Youtube and earned him a spot on Chicago rapper Polo G’s label “Capalot Records”.
The 19-year-old has made appearances in Elevator Magazine, Say Cheese TV, and Hoodlife Ent and his music continues to rake in views as his name begins to catch mainstream attention.
In the span of just one year, West Philadelphia native Yak Yola has become one of the most promising talents in the city. His track “Demon Flow” hovers around 300k views on Youtube while his tracks “Blow”, “All In”, “Take Off”, and “Go Getta” range between 120 and 220 thousand views on the same platform.
Yola has been cosigned by Meek Mill and comedian/social influencer Gille Da King and made music with New York up and comers Sheff G and Sleepy Hollow.
Outside of music, he’s partnered with fashion brand Face Your Fears which has exploded in the past year becoming a staple of Philadelphia streetwear. The rapper rocks a custom iced out chain that dawns their signature FYF logo.
Alamo Records recognized all of this potential and signed the young artist a couple months ago. After months of anticipation, Yak Yola dropped his mixtape “Misunderstood” on Wednesday.
Ikeim is Deep Streets Media’s Creative Director. Referred to as SK, Ikeim also is a Philadelphia artist. His recent EP titled Hood Eulogy is a conscious look into life in Philadelphia. My favorite off the project was “On & On” which everyone should be on the look out for due to a rumored extended version on one of his new upcoming projects entitled BlackSheep, but check out the whole project on all streaming platforms. SK has a new project coming soon called Black Sheep. Below are pictures from multiple shoots. For more check Deep Streets Media on Instagram. Enjoy!
Yellow Zoo came to Temple University on a promotional tour with Yvng Swag. In 2019, Yellow Zoo broke 300k streams on Spotify; A major accomplishment in this young artists career. Zoo does it all.
